ROCKY MOUNTAIN ASPHALT USER / PRODUCER GROUP
OFFERS A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE TO USERS, PRODUCERS, AND CONTRACTORS
The Rocky Mountain Asphalt User / Producer Group (RMAUPG) invites you to join our progressive and dynamic organization. Come and actively participate in a leadership role in the areas of pavement innovation, quality standards, and pavement preservation. Our mission is to promote an exchange of ideas on practical issues facing our member agencies and businesses. The RMAUPG knowledge-sharing forum is structured by utilizing the strengths and capabilities of our members to resolve problems through their respective expertise. The following are some good examples in pavement initiatives:
A valuable joint meeting is held annually between the RMAUPG and the Western Cooperative Test Group (WCTG), where top researchers share their results on the latest SHRP test procedures protocols, and ETG experts discuss future perspectives on Superpave. The WCTG coordinated by Wyoming DOT, has over 50 laboratories participating in proficiency testing, consisting of suppliers and state agencies. The database compliments that of the AMRL and extends beyond the boundaries of the RMAUPG, and includes a few international members. The RMAUPG discusses and evaluates test procedures, specifications and new road performance standards, contributing to the betterment of our highways, while promoting industry Quality consensus standards. The Rocky Mountain geographic area includes, but not limited to, the States of Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. We seek to increase our membership both directly with new agencies or new businesses that desire the benefits of the RMAUPG knowledge-sharing forum. The annual RMAUPG October meeting brings together experts from diverse
fields to discuss their latest research findings in an effort to better
out nation’s highway infrastructure. |
